Find a tiny lost item with a sock on your vacuum

1Take the attachment off your vacuum hose.
2Stretch a thin sock or a piece of pantyhose over the end of the hose.
3Hold it in place with a rubber band.
4Vacuum the area slowly. The lost item sticks to the fabric instead of going into the bag.

Wipe your brush on a rubber band instead of the rim.

Pull the hinge pin, coat it with petroleum jelly and slide it back.

Mark the hangers on tape, move the tape to the wall and nail through the marks.
