Keep your paint can rim clean with a rubber band

1Open the paint can.
2Stretch a wide rubber band around the can, top to bottom, so it crosses over the opening.
3Wipe extra paint off your brush on the rubber band, not on the rim.
4When you're done, take the band off. The lid closes tight on a clean rim.

Cover the hose with a thin sock and lost earrings get caught, not swallowed.

Pull the hinge pin, coat it with petroleum jelly and slide it back.

Mark the hangers on tape, move the tape to the wall and nail through the marks.
