1Fill a plastic bag about halfway with white vinegar.
2Pull the bag up around the showerhead so the head sits in the vinegar.
3Wrap a rubber band or twist tie around the pipe to hold the bag in place.
4Leave it for a few hours or overnight.
5Remove the bag and run hot water for a minute to flush out the loosened buildup.

Good to knowOn brass, gold or nickel finishes, limit the soak to 30 minutes. Vinegar can dull them.

Three minutes of lemon steam softens the gunk so it wipes right off.

Warm water, a drop of dish soap and 30 seconds of blending.

Wipe each slat between your fingers with a damp sock. Done in minutes.
