Fix slow Wi-Fi by restarting your router the right way

1Unplug the power cord from your modem and your router (some homes have one box that does both).
2Wait 30 seconds.
3Plug the modem back in and wait until its lights are steady, about 1 to 2 minutes.
4Plug the router back in and wait another 1 to 2 minutes, then try your connection.

Good to knowDon't press the tiny Reset hole. That erases your Wi-Fi name and password.

Press Ctrl + Shift + T (Cmd + Shift + T on a Mac).

Set a full water bottle on your phone's flashlight to light up the whole room.

Stand your phone in an empty cup or glass, speaker end down.
